Our Mission

Preserving and perpetuating the rich cultural arts of Japan throughout Hawaiʻi.

Hanayagi Dancing Academy Hawaiʻi Foundation strives to share the centuries-old traditional arts of nihon buyō and nagauta shamisen with our local community and cultivate interest in these artforms with modern, multicultural audiences. We hope our activities showcase the growth and talents of our students while also contributing to our diasporic island communityʻs long and vibrant history of celebrating Japanese cultural heritage.
